What We Show Up Club is

We Show Up Club is a web application for tracking recurring activities (like gym visits, classes, or any habit) in groups with friends. It lets you create groups, invite members, and log daily check-ins on a shared calendar.

The service is operated by Monica Carvajal, an individual based in Spain (EU). As an EU-based operator, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, provided during registration or via Google sign-in.
• Profile data: your display name and chosen color preference.
• Activity data: the check-in dates you log for your groups.
• Group data: the groups you create or join, your membership status, and your role (admin or member).
• Technical data: we use PostHog for product analytics to understand feature usage and improve the app. We do not use advertising cookies and do not sell your data. Basic server logs may temporarily contain IP addresses for security purposes.

How we use your data

• To provide the service: display your check-ins, show group calendars, and send invitation and notification emails.
• To authenticate you: via email/password or Google OAuth.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party providers to operate the service:

• Supabase (database and authentication): stores your account and activity data. Privacy policy.
• Google (OAuth sign-in): if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email. We do not access any other Google data. Privacy policy.
• Resend (transactional email): used to send invitation and notification emails. Privacy policy.
• Cloudflare (hosting): serves the web application. Privacy policy.
• PostHog (product analytics): collects anonymized usage data (page views, feature interactions) to help us improve the app. No advertising cookies are used. Privacy policy.

Who can see your data

• Your profile name and color are visible to members of groups you belong to.
• Your check-in dates are visible to members of your groups.
• Your email address is visible to group admins who invited you.
• We do not share your data with anyone else.

Data retention

• Your data is retained as long as you have an active account.
• If a group is deleted, check-in data for that group is soft-deleted (archived, not permanently erased).
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@weshowup.club.

Your rights (GDPR)

As an EU resident, you have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Children's privacy

We Show Up Club is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
